My experience with Oasis: apartment rent with hotel services

Being almost a professional traveler, I get the chance to stay in incredible hotels – many of which I’ll be sharing here soon. But, having said that, I also find great pleasure staying in apartments and having a more local, instead of tourist, experience. You get to do things like going to the supermarket (I LOVE exploring supermarkets when I travel, but only to buy delicious things, naturally), cooking, having guests over… It’s specially great when travelling with family or friends, as you really enjoy more time together, or during fashion week, when you need lots of space to organise all the outfits and all!

After hearing a lot about Oasis, a company that rents apartments but provides hotel hospitality services, I booked to stay with them last season in Milan and Paris and had a great time. The concept is quite interesting: while you stay in an apartment and feel like a local, you have a concierge to book restaurants and transfers, organise the cleaning, they’ll even fill your fridge if you don’t like going to the supermarket!

Upon arrival you’ll find a welcome kit with useful information, like what’s around the neighbourhood and other useful details, plus a few gifts, and their team is great, super friendly and helpful. It really is the best of both worlds! My Milan apartment had a more modern feel, very practical and with great light (handy for early fashion week morning makeup), and the Paris one, where I stayed with my friend Barbara Migliori, Vogue Brazil’s fashion director, had enough space for us to throw a party!

Oasis have many other incredible apartments in their portfolio, so I decided to have some fun and browse their website for a bit of a daydreaming holiday plan! Here are 3 of my favourites:

Rome apartment – I would love to be a Roman for a couple of days;
Amazing 6 bedroom house in Ibiza for the Summer; I still haven’t been to Los Angeles – I would love to stay in this penthouse in West Hollywood…. Or in this house in Venice Beach!

Oasis have properties in the US, Brazil and have recently started in Europe – besides Milan and Paris, there are also options in London, Madrid, Barcelona, Ibiza and Rome. Totally worth checking it out.
